Engineer a better tomorrow through sustainability
Envision is an outline that consists of 64 sustainability and resilience indicators called credits. These credits are organized around five categories: Quality of Life, Leadership, Resource Allocation, Natural World, and Climate and Resilience. Collectively the five categories report areas of human wellbeing, mobility, community development, collaboration, planning, economy, materials, energy, water, sitting, conservation, ecology, emissions, and resilience. As a whole, this represents the foundation of what constitutes sustainability in infrastructure.
Purpose of Envision for sustainability
To foster a dramatic and necessary improvement in the performance and resiliency of our physical infrastructure across the full spectrum of sustainability. Envision provides the framework and incentives needed to initiate this systemic change. As a planning and design guidance tool, Envision provides industry-wide sustainability metrics for all infrastructure types.
