Beryl Engineering & Inspection is proud to announce that we have been officially selected by the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) as one of the qualified contractors for Inspection & Assessment Services under the Elevate Florida program (RFP-DEM-24-25-017).
This marks an exciting opportunity for our team to contribute to one of the largest residential mitigation efforts in the state. With a full suite of services—engineering, design, inspections, geotechnical, and surveying—Beryl is ready to support contractors and property owners across Florida as the program rolls out.

What is Elevate Florida?
Elevate Florida is the first statewide residential mitigation program of its kind in Florida. Funded through FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Assistance programs, the initiative helps homeowners protect their properties from future storm and flood damage. Projects eligible for funding include:
– Elevation of existing structures
– Mitigation Reconstruction (rebuilding elevated homes on the same site)
– Wind Retrofits to improve storm resistance
– Acquisition and Demolition of flood-prone properties
The program will be implemented across all 67 Florida counties, with projects expected to move quickly. Completion is targeted for December 2026, and contractors are being activated throughout the state.
